Nathan Hunt

Age: 17
Bowls: Right Arm Fast-Medium
Bats: Left-Handed
Fields: Sweeper
Nickname: "*unt"

From the moment he was announced captain for the Redbacks' charge to the state titles, the spotlight went on Nathan Hunt to perform at a level above what is normally expected of him. The burden of captaincy has taken a toll on many players, howver the Redbacks cannot afford to see sub-par performances from Hunt. This should not be the case as he possesses a solid all-round game, and with Mutton will be looked to to shoulder the strike bowler tag.

Hunt is a left-handed batsman giving the team a variety of options where to place him in the lineup. probably best described as a streaky player, he has an excellent range of shots on the offside, but can be suspect on the legs. Has the ability to face any quality of bowling attack, but has been known to fall to the poorest opposition bowler just as easily.

As mentioned above, will be looked on as one of the Redbacks main weapons in the bowling department. Hunt can generate good pace at times, and swings the ball sharply. Rarely makes too many mistakes with the ball in hand, and will be used when the pressure is on.

Hunt has made the sweeper position on the left side his own in recent times. Although not the most versatile of athletic fielder, he does hit the stumps more often than not, and a good pair of hands make sweeper and Hunt a good fit.
